Rory: An Orca’s Quest for the Northern Lights is a cute story told in rhyme about four anthropomorphic northern animals who team up to travel to see the northern lights. The animals are adorable and the polar bears are beautifully illustrated. The rhymes and meters are surprisingly strong, making this a great book to read aloud to children. I’m not entirely sold on these four creatures coming together as friends. Actually, a polar bear can eat a fox, and an orca can try to grab both of them and drag them into the sea … but since the animals also wear clothes and accessories, I think we should stop it. a bit of uncertainty here. Strangely enough, this story about the north was written by two Australian sisters. I wonder why this isn’t a story about a whale’s journey to see the aurora australis. In any case, I believe that children will like this cute story. It has great rhymes, cute (if a little unrealistic) characters, and attractive pictures.

A beautiful adventure of friendship and one dream! My son is obsessed with marine life and we dream as a family to one day share Rory’s dream of seeing the Northern Lights. No disappointment here. The story is an exploration of friendship between different animals in this habitat. They each have the cutest personalities and share adventures to find amazing lights! I won’t give away the ending, but you will find the most amazing art with such a beautiful story with rhyming words to help develop literacy. An educational bonus at the end is a great way to give your kids fun facts to share with their friends and grandparents. I recommend!
Playful search Rory the orca was told that there was no light in the sky, but he decided to see for himself. It is better to travel with two, three or four friends, and they will help each other before discovering the poles. There was a lot of hilarity in this book, but otherwise the rhymes were playful and clever. The story is simple and does not have a strong climax, but it is comfortable and friendly. I will definitely be sharing this with my fellow animal lovers and anyone who likes Lisa Frank.
A very interesting book about making friends and making your dreams come true. This book was amazing! It had beautiful pictures and inspiring stories! Rory meets some interesting characters who become his friends on his amazing trip to see the Northern Lights! It also has some amazing twists that are very exciting! I highly recommend this book! My daughter absolutely loved it!

As beautiful as I expected! They did it again! We loved Spike so much, and now Rory can be added to the collection! This rhyming children’s tale about a little orca’s journey to find the northern lights takes him on an adventure that brings him friendship and happiness. Emphasizing kindness and the importance of having good friends around you, this book is an absolute delight! I recommend.
It’s a fun read, and overall, the author has kept the language level simple enough for younger readers. The story of the quest is written in rhyme, which is sometimes a little awkward, but generally good; a type of rhyme that appeals to small children. The images are beautiful. I think this book is a good introduction to marine animal fantasy for very young children.
Super Cute This book series is so cute! Images are bright and colorful. They definitely got my little ones attention. In this story, Rory follows her beliefs to see what she always wanted to see. He also makes friends along the way and I can’t wait to read Dover’s story. Then the last page put the cherry on top for me, because I love a good knowledge with any children’s book.
An assignment not to be missed! Love this book. The illustrations were great and I enjoyed the rhymes and Rory’s quest. This is definitely a book that my students will love. It had great vocabulary and a great message about friendship and helping each other. It also teaches you not to give up on your dreams. There’s Rory!

Great Story! My 2.5 year old was very interested. The pictures are great and the rhymes helped keep it interesting. My son may not yet realize how much he’ll learn from this story, but I’m excited to add it to his collection so he can get up close and personal with the Arctic and its creatures 😃🐳🐧🦊
