Expedition Escapades: Adventures In Remote Corners – This remote Overland road was designed to test the Escapade Backcountry Trailer, and we decided to push it hard to see if it lived up to its name. The cross-country trip was a 7-day, 1,356-mile adventure into the remote areas of southern Utah. A full review of the trailer is linked at the end of this article.

Our first real remote land destination was Alstrom Point, perched on a cliff high above Lake Powell. The trail to the point is 25 miles along a dirt road from Big Water and the last mile is the only time you really need high clearance and maybe a 4High. That said, weather conditions can change quickly in this area and the dusty off-road tracks have a reputation for turning into mud-sucking cars when it rains.
