Towering over the Royal Hawaiian is the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. This 32-story hotel has over 1,600 rooms and is located right on the water in the heart of Waikiki.
Best Family Pools In Las Vegas For Kids
Compared to other hotels in the area, the Sheraton feels like a mega hotel at times, but given its size, it offers amenities that others don’t.
🍍 Central Location: You’re in the middle of everything, but pay much less than if you stayed next door at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel or the nearby Moana Surfrider Hotel, other nearby Marriott hotels.
Biggest plus: Location. Right in the heart of Waikiki and provides easy access to everything you could need in the city. Makes it much easier to travel to places where the family travels.
Biggest downside: This is an oceanfront hotel with no direct access to the beach. The beach has been eroded and you can no longer access it, meaning the hotel will not have sun loungers if you want to spend the day on the beach.

Dive Into Kid Friendly Hotel Pools The Whole Family Will Love
Hilton Hawaiian Village is the most family-friendly hotel in Waikiki. And this is not really a hotel.
As stated on their website, “we are the only resort in Waikiki.” Having stayed in several hotels in the area, I agree with this statement.
It is the largest Hilton hotel and one of the largest hotels in the world, located on 22 acres on the outskirts of Waikiki. There are 3,386 rooms, so it is always crowded and noisy. There are five swimming pools, several water slides and an artificial lagoon in which novice swimmers can splash around without any problems.
I have to say that I thought the man-made lagoon would be terrible – I love the beach! But the best thing was to take our baby to the lagoon. He didn’t have to worry about waves, it wasn’t crowded, and he had a great time getting in and out of the water. You do not have to be a hotel guest to use the lagoon.
